Senior Loss Adjuster - MatthewsDaniel

Jake is an energy Loss Adjuster at Matthews Daniel, where he primarily works on upstream oil and gas claims. He joined Matthews Daniel in 2014, having previously worked for two years on offshore drilling rigs as a Mud Logger with Baker Hughes in the UK sector of the North Sea.
Jake joined the Marine & Energy U35's committee in January 2020.

P&I Claims Executive – Standard Club

Peter is a Claims Executive in the International Division at the Standard Club, where he handles a wide variety of P&I and FDD disputes for different owner and charterer members.  Peter has also spent several months working at a container shipping company in their Legal and Insurance department, and is currently studying for both the P&IQ and Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers qualifications.      



P&I Reinsurance Broker - Gallagher Re

Alex is a P&I Reinsurance Broker at Gallagher Re, having joined legacy Willis Re in 2019.

Prior to this this, Alex spent 6 years in the Willis Towers Watson direct P&I team advising and placing a variety of operators programmes into IG Clubs and Non-IG P&I providers.

Marine Hull Underwriter - Royal & Sun Alliance Plc

Danny has been at RSA for 3 years having joined the marine claims team from an adjusting position at Richards Hogg Lindley, Liverpool. Having spent his first year and a half at RSA handling an adjusting large and complex Hull and Machinery and Construction claims, he joined the Hull and Machinery Underwriting team in late 2016.
In January 2017 Danny joined the Marine & Energy U35’s committee and will be picking up the mantle for sports related activities. Feel free to get in touch with any enquiries or suggestions.

Cargo Underwriter - Chaucer Group

Katie is an Underwriter in the Marine Cargo team at Chaucer Group, having joined in February 2022. Prior to this, Katie has gained over 12 years experience across the Cargo & Specie markets in Lloyd's.

Stephanie is an Underwriter at MS Amlin and has been part of the cargo team since 2016. She previously worked at Hiscox working within their Reinsurance division. Stephanie joined the Marine U35s Committee in 2018; please feel free to contact her with any Cargo queries.

Class Underwriter - Upstream Energy Talbot

Alastair is an Class Underwriter in the Upstream Energy team at Talbot Underwriting where he has been for 7 years. In addition to traditional E&P activities Alastair also has special interests in renewables and power cables.
Alastair joined the committee in January 2019, was a delegate on the 2017 U35 Energy Trip to Latin America and until recently was the U35s representative on the Joint Rig Committee.

Senior Associate - Clyde & Co LLP

Craig joined Clyde & Co in 2015 and is an experienced marine lawyer advising London market and international marine insurers/reinsurers on all matters arising out of the sale, insurance and carriage of goods, by sea, air, road and rail. Craig also regularly advises on other marine classes such as warehousing, liability, yachts and specie.
Craig is frequently asked by leading insurers in London, Europe and ASIA to provide marine insurance coverage advice in respect of high value losses.  Having completed two London market secondments in 2016 and 2017 at Zurich and Brit, Craig has broad experience of the insurance market and first-hand experience of adjusting marine, fine art and specie claims.  
Craig joined the Marine & Energy U35’s Committee in January 2020.

Max is a Fine Art and Specie Underwriter at Markel International. He has been on the Markel Specie team since 2012 having joined Markel through their graduate scheme.

Luke is a Marine Liability and Marine War Underwriter at Liberty Speciality Markets. He has been at Liberty since 2012.

Senior Vice President - Global Marine & Cargo - Marsh Specialty

Jeremy is a Senior Claims Advocate for Marsh JLT Specialty having joined in July 2019, previously working for RSA Insurance, Zurich Global Corporate & Navigators & General.
He has experience working within various areas of the Marine, Fine Art & Specie sector and held a role on the LMA’s Joint Marine Claims Committee prior to moving into a broking role.  
Jeremy joined the Marine & Energy U35's Committee in January 2020.

Sophie is a Marine Liability Underwriter who joined QBE in September 2019. Prior to this, Sophie spent 18 months at RSA, underwriting Ports and Terminals and Marine Liabilities, and over four years at Carina

Marine Claims Adjuster – Atrium

Andrew Mackenzie joined Atrium Underwriters Ltd as a Marine Claims Adjuster in June 2018 and handles a variety of classes of business including Marine, Marine Cargo and Energy. Andrew began his career in 2012 on the Lloyd's of London Claims Graduate Scheme before joining as a Marine Claims Advocate at Marsh Ltd. Andrew has an MA in History from the University of Durham, is ACII qualified and is an Associate Member of the Association of Average Adjusters.

Alex is currently an Upstream Energy underwriter at Chaucer having joined the team in 2013. He has over 9 years of market experience, having started his career at Starr Companies in February 2012.

Will is a Senior Claims Adjuster at AXA XL working within the Marine team having joined in 2016. Previously he worked at Starr Companies as an Aviation Claims Adjuster for 3 years. He has experience dealing with a variety of aspects of Marine, namely Hull, Cargo, Ports and Terminals and Liability. Will is ACII qualified and an Associate Member of the Association of Average Adjusters.
