Dear Members,

REGISTER YOUR INTEREST – SOCIAL CYCLE EVENT – 4th AUGUST

This August (4th) we are planning a social event on two wheels…

The plan is to meet at Clapham Common Bandstand and cycle to Denbies Wine Estate. From Clapham, we will make our way to Richmond Park and follow this route. In total, the route is around 65km (40miles), including the infamous Box Hill, and should take us around 3.5hrs, including time for coffee/toilet stops. We will aim to set off around 9am to avoid traffic and make it to Denbies for lunch.

Lunch will be provided outside at The Hatch On The Lawn where they serve a range of takeaway style food alongside their award winning wine. Denbies is conveniently located 1 mile from Dorking train station, with trains running back to Clapham Junction every 15 minutes.

Subject to interest, we plan to ride in groups of 8 or less. Each group will be assigned a ride leader who will guide the group on the day.

We will aim to keep a healthy pace, but rest assured, no one will be left behind.

The purpose of the event is to get to know like-minded professionals in the Marine & Energy market.

The cost for the event is £25/person which will secure your place on the trip and cover your lunch.

Please note that you are required to bring your own road bike – bikes are not provided. This is a self-supported ride. You will be responsible for any mechanical issues, so please bring all necessary tools/spares. Bikes left unattended at your own risk.

Please register your interest by 'RSVPing' below specifying whether you would be willing to lead a group of riders on the day.

Places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis and numbers will be limited. We will try and accommodate as many as possible subject to ride leader availability.

Once we have a feel for numbers, we will circulate further details.
