Iain Butterworth is a distinguished shipping lawyer and former chief engineer with over 20 years of legal practice and extensive maritime experience. Having served in the merchant navy aboard container ships, oil tankers, and Ro/Ro passenger vessels, he transitioned to law while maintaining a strong technical foundation. For the past decade, Iain has successfully managed Butterworth Marine, a marine consultancy, alongside his legal career.
