About the Event

Following a rapid expansion in the last few years, we will take a look into some of competing energy storage technologies and why they are becoming a vital ingredient in the energy mix. We will move focus specifically on to Battery Energy Storage and Li-ion technology, before taking a look at some of the failures:

  • Typical failure types
  • Stages of the failures
  • Cause of failure
  • Mitigations
  • Case studies

Matthew Thurley is a loss adjuster at SteegeXP, having joined the team in 2017. Matthew holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of Nottingham. Matthew now services the insurance market, dealing with complex energy claims.
